How we make money
Affiliate commissions. Some links to products are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. These links are marked in the page code as sponsored, and any article containing them carries a disclosure near the top — not buried at the bottom.
Advertising. We display advertising on some pages. Ad slots are labelled "Advertisement". Advertisers have no input into editorial content and no advance sight of it.
Our own product. See below.
What a commercial relationship does not buy
- A recommendation
- A rank position
- Removal of criticism
- Advance approval of an article
- Exemption from our safety criteria
If a product cannot meet the criteria on our evaluation page, no commercial arrangement changes that.
